Kashmir culture and community is fragmented by religious mania and terror. While keeping the novel's heroine, Sudha's experience at the center, the author has opened the truth of harassment and sympathy based on religion suffered by her. The novel's composition explains the life of Sudha, who herself is an exiled Kashmiri Hindu but, under a special scheme wherever possible cooperate in pain, fear and helplessness suffered by Kashmiri Muslim women.
